As the familiar voice of Tod Angilly echoes throughout TD Garden, there is no mistaking it: The Boston Bruins are back on their home ice. With the NHL preseason underway, Boston's team is gearing up for another year of high hopes, new faces, and a renewed sense of community after a tough last season.

Last year left fans heartbroken after big-name trades were made. The departure of longtime team captain Brad Marchand caused a rift in the team, especially after sporting the black and gold jersey for 16 seasons. Other players who were also traded include Charlie Coyle, Trent Fredric, and Brandon Carlo. Some fans spoke about their feelings and how it impacted their involvement with the Bruins.

Other fans still remain devoted to their favorite team even after all last season brought. We spoke to fans who have been long-time season ticket holders, and through the years they share their current thoughts and hopes, saying there is potential to rebuild.

Off the ice, the Bruins team still makes an impact on the surrounding communities. From personal experiences of children sitting on the bench for military appreciation, to getting the chance to skate on the TD Garden ice, the team and the people who make getting season tickets possible make an effort to create connections to the Boston community, to deliver experiences that make lasting impressions, and keep the fans coming back.
